Arrival Varanasi

Arrive at Varanasi Railway Station/Airport, check into the hotel, and proceed to Sarnath, 10 km from Varanasi. This prominent location is where Lord Buddha proclaimed his first sermon after enlightenment in Deer Park. It contains the most astonishing remains. as well as a Modem Temple. The Chaukhandi Stupa, Dharmarajika, and Dhamek Stupa are eminent. A newly constructed 80-foot-tall statue of Lord Buddha is also an alteration. There are also the remains of a Monastery & the exquisitely Polished Lion Capital of Ashoka. Stay the night in Varanasi.

Varanasi-Bodhgaya

Post breakfast, head towards Bodhgaya, where Gautama Buddha attained unparalleled enlightenment. Check into the hotel upon arrival, and the remainder of the day is at leisure. You can leave for the Mahabodhi temple for the evening prayer. Later, come back to the hotel and spend the night in Bodhgaya comfortably.

Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna

Depart for Patna after breakfast, stopping off at Rajgir and Nalanda on the way. Rajgir is a place of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Jains, and it was the capital of the Magadha kingdom. On Ratnagiri Hill, the massive Viswa Shanti Stupa was constructed by Japanese Buddhists and is accessible via chairlift. Buddha is depicted in statues on the Stupa at each of his four life stages—birth, enlightenment, teaching, and death. The Jain shrines, which are scattered across 26 distant hills, can also be seen from the hilltop. Another place where Buddha gave a sermon is Griddhakuta, located on Ratnagiri Hill. Nalanda is an ancient university town in Bihar. It dates to the time of Mahavira and Buddha in the sixth century B.C. The town was home to Nalanda Mahavihara, a monastic university with a reputation across the world. After that, proceed to your hotel to check in and spend the night in Patna.

Patna- Vaishali – Kushinagar

Post breakfast, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Patna. This would encompass the Golghar, which was built as a granary; the Patna Museum; the Gandhi Museum; Qila House; Har Mandir Takht; or Jalan Museum, which has some extremely rare artifacts like the bed of Napoleon and the porcelain of Marie Antoinette; and the ruins of Pataliputra. After lunch, return to the hotel, drive to Kushinagar, and on the way, stop at the Vaishali location where Buddha declared the impending of his Mahaparinirvana.  After that, continue driving toward Kushinagar. Upon arrival, check into a hotel for a restful night’s sleep.

Kushinagar – Lumbini

In the morning,  proceed towards Rambhar Stupa (the cremation site of Lord Buddha) and Mahaparinirvana Temple (the location of Lord Buddha’s last breath). Afterward, head towards Lumbini, Lord Buddha’s birthplace (180 km, 5 hours’ drive). Check into the hotel upon arrival. Later, go to the Mayadevi Temple, where Buddha was born. The perception of this location as the place where the legend was born coincides solely with its serenity and natural beauty. Stay the night at the Lumbini hotel.

Lumbini – Kapilavastu – Sravasti

In the morning, leave for Sravasti (225 km, 5.30 hrs. drive), stopping off at Kapilavastu (the childhood home of Gautam Buddha) on the way. Pay a visit to Rambhar Stupa (the cremation site of Lord Buddha), MahaParinirwana Temple (where Buddha took his last breath), and Japan Temple.  Overnight stay in Sravasti.

Sravasti-Varanasi

The majority of the Buddha’s sermons were preached at Sravasti. He is said to have levitated and performed numerous miracles here. Visit SahetMahet and the Angulimal caves during the monsoon, where Buddha once resided at the Jetavana monastery on the outskirts of this town. Visit Ananda Bodhi Tree and Jetvana. After that, proceed towards Varanasi.Overnight stay at Varanasi.

Varanasi Departure

Post breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to the Varanasi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.The tour comes to an end with pleasant memories.
